I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING THIS VALENTINE...... and it's NOT JUST A ONE NIGHT STAND!

Summer Madness, Love For Life and Evangelical Alliance have hooked up to bring you a ‘Relationship Conference’ on 10th February that could change your Valentines plans for good.

We believe that this conference comes just at the right time as the issues of marriage, morals, love and sex come clearly into view in the public arena. Many young people also look forward to the 'Valentines' season and often wonder how their faith connects with the real world of messy relationships.

NOT JUST A ONE NIGHT STAND: is a 'relationships conference' for 16 - 30s' although current affairs might suggest that one is never too old or too young to learn the centrality of these lessons for life.

So just before Valentines Day (Feb 10th) we are offering a packed evening programme (from 5.30pm-10pm) that focuses entirely on issues of love, sex, relationships and marriage. We've a host of 'experts' taking part and this is a unique opportunity for you to think through some of these big issues - create some space with those nearest and dearest to you to improve your relational intelligence!

SYMPOSIUM:
In preparation for the conference we established an online SURVEY to probe young people's attitudes to sexual choices and the influence that their faith / religion plays in this arena. Almost 1200 people responded and the full results of the survey will be published on the website by the middle of next week. We are currently organizing a short symposium to discuss these results on the afternoon of the conference along with a panel drawn from the fields of health promotion, faith, youth work, and politics. But don't waste Vanlentines on a bunch of overpriced, swiftly fading, deciduous shrubs – so call me a real romantic if you like!
